Things to consider
At 206 g it is heavy for its size, which is what the stainless frame and third lens cost. The 3200 mAh battery is modest for a phone with this much capability, so a day of heavy photography or navigation will want a charge before evening. Charging is over Lightning rather than USB-C, which means keeping an older cable to hand. There is no microSD slot, so storage is fixed at purchase, and no 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired listening.
Is the iPhone 14 Pro a good buy?
Yes, particularly for photography. The 48 MP main camera and the telephoto lens still produce results that hold up against far newer phones, the display is excellent, and the estimated support dates mean it should stay secure well into the next decade.
