Four phones make up this generation: the iPhone 15, the 15 Plus, the 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max. All four are fully unlocked, inspected and graded before sale.

The generation that switched to USB-C

This was the line where Apple dropped the Lightning port in favour of USB-C, so a single cable now charges the phone, a laptop and most modern accessories. The Dynamic Island, previously reserved for Pro models, also arrived across all four here.

Standard or Pro?

The 15 and 15 Plus carry a high-resolution main camera and a strong two-lens setup, and for most people they are more than enough. The 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max move to a titanium frame, swap the mute switch for the customisable Action button, add a telephoto lens and run a display that refreshes faster. The Pro Max goes furthest, with the longest zoom and the largest battery.

Size, and what it costs you

The 15 and 15 Pro are the one-handed phones. The 15 Plus and 15 Pro Max are noticeably larger and heavier, and in exchange they last longer between charges. There is no small-body, long-battery option here, so it is a straight trade.

Our suggestion

Most buyers are well served by the standard 15. Choose the Plus if battery life is your main complaint about your current phone, and a Pro only if the telephoto lens or the video tools will genuinely get used. Compare them directly on our comparison page, or step across to the iPhone 16 series or the iPhone 14 series.
