We stand behind the devices we sell, and we keep returns straightforward. There are two separate things worth knowing: a 14-day change-of-mind return, and a 90-day warranty covering functional faults. Return shipping within Canada is free either way.

Changed your mind? You have 14 days

If your device arrives and you decide it is not for you, get in touch within 14 days of receiving it and we will arrange a return for a full refund. No fault required and no explanation needed. The device needs to come back in its original condition with everything it shipped with.

Something wrong with the phone? You have 90 days

Every device we sell carries a 90-day warranty covering functional faults — anything that stops the phone working the way it should. If a fault appears within those 90 days, contact us and we will put it right: a repair, a replacement, an exchange, or a refund, depending on the situation and what we have in stock.

Replacements depend on availability. If we do not have an exact match, we will suggest a comparable device, or offer a repair or a refund instead.

How to start a return

Email us at hello@need-a-phone.ca. We will go through the details with you and agree the right outcome. Once you are ready to send the device back, we will issue a prepaid shipping label or a Return Merchandise Authorization, and we will cover the return shipping within Canada.

What the warranty does not cover

The 90-day warranty does not cover accidental or physical damage, so we cannot accept returns for devices showing signs of damage. If you need an out-of-warranty repair, we are happy to give you a quote or point you towards a local repair shop.

Damaged in transit

If your phone looks like it was damaged in shipping and shows signs of physical damage, email us at hello@need-a-phone.ca within 2 days of receipt so we can have the carrier investigate immediately. Please keep all the original packaging and avoid setting the phone up. Our team will take it from there.
