The Z Flip folds a full-size phone in half. This page carries four generations: the Z Flip3, Z Flip4, Z Flip6 and Z Flip7, all 5G and unlocked.

The point is the pocket

Opened, a Flip is an ordinary tall smartphone. Closed, it is roughly square and about half the height. It disappears into a jacket pocket or a small bag in a way no slab phone manages. The hinge also props it up on its own, so hands-free video calls need no tripod.

The cover screen makes the difference between generations

On the Flip3 and Flip4, the outer display is a narrow strip: notifications, the time, music controls, a camera viewfinder. On the Flip6 and Flip7, it is far larger and does much more without opening the phone, including replies and full apps. If you expect to use the phone while it is shut, that gap matters most.

The honest trade-offs

A visible crease runs across the inner display, and most owners stop noticing it within a week. Never peel off the inner screen's protective layer, and keep keys and coins out of the same pocket. Batteries are smaller than on a comparable slab phone, because the hinge takes room, so heavy users should plan to charge before bed.

Choosing a Flip

Newer generations bring better cover screens, better cameras and longer support. Older ones are the affordable way to find out whether folding suits you at all. Every unit is inspected and graded, hinge included. See the wider Samsung range, or ask us anything through contact.
