Things to consider
There is no microSD slot, so the storage you choose at purchase is the storage you keep. The charging port is Lightning rather than USB-C, which means holding on to an older cable if the rest of your kit has moved on. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack, so wired listening needs an adapter or a Bluetooth set. The 3279 mAh battery is fine for a normal day but heavy video or gaming will call for a top-up, and the rear camera has no dedicated telephoto lens.
Is the iPhone 14 a good buy?
For most people, yes. It covers the daily essentials properly - good photos, a bright screen, quick performance, wireless charging - and the support window means it should keep receiving updates for years yet. Choose it if you want a compact iPhone that will last, and if you do not need a telephoto lens or the larger screen of the Plus. If long-range photography or USB-C charging matters to you, look further up the family before deciding.
