Things to consider
The 2815 mAh battery is the smallest in this catalogue, so heavy days of navigation, video or gaming will need a charge before evening. Charging is over Lightning rather than USB-C. There is no microSD slot and no 3.5 mm headphone jack. It is also the oldest device here: major OS updates are expected to end in September 2028 and security updates in September 2030, which is a shorter runway than the newer models carry.
Is the iPhone 12 Pro a good buy?
It is a sensible choice if the triple camera and the compact size are what you want, and if you are comfortable with the update dates above. The screen, the build and the photography still hold up well against much newer phones, and wireless charging is included. Battery capacity is the real limitation, so pair it with a charger at your desk. If you want the longest possible support window, choose something from a later generation.
