Things to consider
Battery life is the honest trade-off for the size. At 2227 mAh this is the smallest battery in the range, and heavy users will need a top-up during the day. Charging is over Lightning rather than USB-C, so it will not share a cable with newer devices. There is no headphone jack, so wired listening needs an adapter or a Bluetooth set, and storage cannot be expanded after purchase. The small screen also means more scrolling on long documents.
Is the iPhone 12 Mini a good buy?
If a compact phone is what you actually want, there is very little else like it. The cameras, screen quality and long estimated update window all match its full-size sibling, packed into a body that disappears into a pocket.
