How many claims do I get?
Up to two claims in a 12-month period. Free battery replacements under 80% health don't count toward that limit.
When does coverage start?
The day you receive your phone, and it runs for one or two years depending on the plan you chose.
What will I pay if I make a claim?
A deductible based on what you paid for the phone — $25 to $79 for a repair, $75 to $169 for a replacement.
Are lost or stolen phones covered?
No — this plan covers damage and failures, not loss or theft. Keeping that out is part of what lets us offer it directly and keep it affordable.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel within 30 days for a full refund if you haven't made a claim. Quebec residents have a 10-day cancellation right under the Consumer Protection Act.
Can I transfer it if I sell my phone?
Yes — just let us know the new owner's details and the remaining coverage transfers to them at no charge.
This Plan is a service contract provided directly by Need A Phone, not insurance. It is offered in addition to your free legal warranty and our standard 90-day warranty. Loss and theft are not covered.
