The Eternal Debate: iPhone vs. Samsung
Blue v/s Green?
Damon or Stefan Salvatore?
Gryffindor or Ravenclaw?
These are the debates that always have people going on about.
The iPhone vs. Samsung debate is no different.
So, let's delve into this argument. Instead of comparing the latest models—which often only show minor differences—the following topics discuss the potential areas of interest for customers.
So, are you an iPhone or Samsung person? Read on ahead…
It is mostly the features and services that are essential for an individual that decide what they eventually buy. Hence, neither of the choices are wrong. They are both pretty good options, just with different things to offer.
Apple App Store vs. Google Play
If you are looking to get the new apps without any delay in their availability, then Apple is for you, since many apps are introduced for iPhones, and not Androids.
Contrary to that, Google play provides the perks of a highly flexible platform, that aids the developers in reducing the risk of rejection. Unlike Apple, whose store is highly specific.
Choice of Models
Android provides you with an array of choices, ranging between brands like Samsung, Google Pixel, etc. Thus, you have a lot of options to choose from.
However, Apple is highly specific about the models being introduced, with just a handful of colours and versions to choose from, usually the versions of the base model.
Customization
Android provides the liberty to customize home screens according to the individual’s choice. This contrasts with the fixed interface of Apple.
On the other hand, Android contains far more unwanted apps added by the carrier, which is not the case with apple that has very few preloaded applications.
Messaging and Video Calls
iPhones provide excellent messaging and videocall services in the form of iMessage and FaceTime, respectively. This system has not been able to be competed by Android.
That is not to say that Samsung users have no means to videocall. They can very conveniently do so using applications such as WhatsApp.
Charging Cables
While Samsung phones and Macbooks use a USB-C connectors, iPhones still use the lightning cables that make it inconvenient, since you are forced to carry different wires and chargers. However, changes are being made to make these cables more universal.
Price
Generally, Android provides more economical options for buyers in comparison to Apple. Although the prices for both of them are pretty similar during the time they are introduced, but the costs usually plummet for the Android phones soon enough and offer way better deals than iPhones.
